Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the VP, Human Resources, The Regional Manager, Scheduling is responsible for the successful operation of the IERHA staff scheduling function and office, accountable for both staff management and program leadership enabling the provision of patient and client care through effective staff scheduling. Primary responsibilities include staff and department performance management, processes and internal control development and evaluation, issue investigation and resolution, and overall management of an orderly and efficient staff scheduling function. Responsible for developing and maintaining effective communication between all levels of cross functional leadership, identifying and closing service gaps, and accurate interpretation and application of regional policies and Collective Agreements. The position of Regional Manager, Scheduling functions in a manner consistent with, and supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority.

Qualifications:



Completion of post-secondary degree in Human Resources or Business Management program. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered Comprehensive knowledge of the current MNU, MGEU (Community Support), MGEU (Health Care Support Services) and MGEU (Technical Professional) Collective Agreements and all relevant IERHA policies, procedures and guidelines. General management and human resource best practices. Change management principles. Demonstrated experience successfully managing a complex staff environment. Demonstrated ability to use change management processes and principles. Comprehensive computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to establish positive working relationships with staff and management while ensuring confidentiality. Ability to lead change in a dynamic, complex environment. Ability to work independently. Demonstrated organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Ability to promote and maintain positive working relationships in a team based working environment. Ability to take initiative in identifying problems and designing solutions Valid Manitoba driver's license. Mental and physical ability to meet the demands of the position. Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions. Completes and maintains a satisfactory pre-employment security check.
