Key responsibilities include:Leading and supporting the regional team to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate key performance indicatorsBuilding and maintaining relationships with teams across all facilities, including union leadershipEnsuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and best practicesEstablishing and maintaining an effective organizational structure, ensuring clear responsibility and accountabilityResponding to and implementing recommendations from Shannex's quality program and government inspection reportsPromoting resident safety by ensuring teams follow standard operational procedures, safe work practices, and all required trainingSupporting the standardization of quality practices and education delivery across homesEnsuring clinical resources are utilized efficiently and effectivelyLeading key stakeholder relationships for the region, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration across all sitesAbout YouIn addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring:Relevant university degree in health science/service/administration or businessA Bachelor of Science in Nursing with current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia is considered an assetA minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, including supervisory or management experienceA Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field is an assetStrong leadersh ip skills with proven problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skillsA service-minded, results-oriented attitude, with a passion for healthcare and senior careA high level of initiative, attention to detail, and adaptabilityExperience in a leadership role within long-term care or another regulated healthcare environment is an assetAbout UsIt all began in 1988 when our Founder, Joseph Shannon, purchased a single nursing home in his hometown of Sydney, Cape Breton.
