We are currently seeking a Regional Manager, Business Banking to join our team within our Envision Financial division.

This Regional Manager, Business Banking is the sales and operational leader for the assigned business banking unit. This role participates in development and oversees the execution of the regional business banking sales and service strategy; monitors results; and ensures ongoing profitability, growth and mitigation of risk in the areas managed. This role actively pursues business opportunities in the community and trade area through development of contacts and networks.

Here\'s what would be included as a part of your typical day * Leadership: Provides leadership and direction to the team, through mentoring and training; ensures appropriate development of the skills and knowledge required to achieve assigned team targets. Cultivates and maintains a supportive and engaged work environment; participates in recruitment, retention, and performance management related activities.

  • Business Development: Works with the team to develop business banking contacts and networks in the community and trade areas managed, identifies and pursues opportunities to increase market penetration and actively promotes the Credit Union\'s image within the community through participation in community initiatives and events.
  • Sales and Service Strategy: Participates in the development and leads execution of annual growth and operating budgets for the area. Develops and oversees the execution of business development activities including: executes and ensures success of business banking sales and service strategy, marketing plans and performance targets; ensures all strategies and tactics are aligned with corporate strategic direction and critical success factors; monitors sales results and works with team to enhance sales and revises approach where required to ensure ongoing profitability, growth and mitigation of risk.
  • Risk Management: Liaises with credit risk department and ensures business banking sales activities is complementary to credit risk functions including delinquency management, regulatory requirements, policy application and all related risk management processes; retains shared accountability with credit risk for the achievement of key performance indicators including commercial delinquency targets.
  • Credit: Approves commercial credits within assigned limits, as required.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Commerce or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PFP (or obtain within 18 months) required
  • 6-7 years experience in progressive management positions in the retail and/or business banking industry or equivalent required
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Commercial credit adjudication experience preferred
  • Experience leading a team selling MFDA (or is currently MFDA licensed) preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership attributes and/or experience motivating coaching a high performances sales team
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and grow revenue by successfully prospecting new business and retaining /expanding existing member relationships
  • Ability to partner with other lines of business, deepen relationships with members and provide holistic advice
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact effectively with a variety of people
  • Proficient in computer software programs e.g. Microsoft Office and banking software programs
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
