Reporting to the Director, Global Contingent Workforce Program, this role is responsible for operational delivery of the contingent workforce program across North America. This includes oversight and enforcement of the program's policies, practices and procedures ensuring the successful execution of the program's objectives. The role requires partnering with internal (e.g., Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, Hiring Leaders, Procurement, Finance, HRSS, Legal) and external (e.g., MSP, suppliers, vendors) stakeholders to deliver a seamless contingent workforce experience. This role is a subject matter expert in contingent workforce management and is responsible for aiding, guiding and partnering on the utilization of contingent workers across Sun Life, to deliver the best value for the Enterprise.

What will you do?



Operational Management:



In partnership with the Enterprise's MSP, manage the operational and day-to-day activities required to support effective delivery of the program regionally, including job requisitions, work orders, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding Work with stakeholders and business leaders to address escalations, drive adoption and address process related challenges and ensure program information and communications are shared effectively Ensure alignment between global and regional; adapt global program to support regional needs as required (e.g., tools and templates) Provide subject matter expertise to local requirements (e.g., compliance, regulatory needs, technology) Support the roll out, change management, process updates as part of technology enhancements and adjustments within the vendor managed system (e.g., functional expansion, system changes, workflow adjustments, etc.) as well as operational enhancements Assist in managing program documentation and materials (processes, knowledge articles, training documentation, etc.) Responsible for day-to-day operations and performance management of the external Managed Services Provider as well as the VMS technology

Stakeholder Collaboration:



Partner across lines of business to address unique contingent workforce needs and help drive strategy, compliance, and education for the contingent workforce program, leveraging global COE frameworks Connect the needs of the business with the overall contingent workforce program strategy and day-to-day operations to drive program adoption Execute training and education for managers and other internal stakeholders, such as Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Procurement, etc., around the contingent workforce program and how best to incorporate program into workforce planning Partner with internal stakeholders, such as Talent Acquisition, HRSS, Procurement, Legal, and Finance, to ensure the program's success and alignment with organizational goals and Program Strategy

Program Monitoring and Improvement:



Lead cadence of MSP/VMS program activity within region including, weekly status calls, monthly business reviews, etc. Monitor success of the program; responsible for SLAs and KPIs reporting (regionally) Track & report on risk mitigation controls and program compliance Work with IT partners to resolve any integration issues and improve integration function between VMS and HR System Recommend program improvements to drive maximum effectiveness (i.e. through policies, practices and procedures) Support the strategy and vision of the global Contingent Workforce Program via processes, policies, tools/technology, and data and further, support the Enterprise's total talent strategy and objectives Support the implementation of robust governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies

What do you need to succeed?



Strong operational and delivery skills to effectively execute, and support the sustainment of the Contingent Workforce Program Demonstrated understanding of procurement and contracting principles and best practices Communicates complexity with clarity; interfaces with stakeholders at all levels; represents company externally with confidence Strong ability to work with and influence a variety of stakeholders, while representing their requirements Ability to drive internal process improvements and change management Shares resources; leverages knowledge; builds and nurtures extensive network Ability to communicate effectively with both a technical and non-technical audience Process design experience would be beneficial Capability to multi-task and execute on several deliverables simultaneously in an organized fashion Knowledge and experience in contingent workforce management, including understanding of different engagement models, worker classifications, and legal considerations Strong understanding of relevant regulations, labour laws and compliance requirements in North America Continuous improvement mindset to evolve and support the sustainment of the Contingent Workforce strategy Biase for action with passion to challenge the status quo Results-oriented and able to deliver outcomes

Qualifications:



3-5 years of progressive business experience in talent acquisition or the staffing industry and/or supply chain or vendor management Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices Experience in Financial Services preferred Global supply chain management and/or contract management experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Attention to detail Experience managing a contingent workforce management program in-house or as a vendor is preferred Experience with vendor management responsibilities including technology solutions and service providers (VMS, MSP, etc.)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
