Regional Key Account Manager - Canada, Transit Services
Location: Toronto, ON (Preferred); Montreal, QC (Alternative)
Reporting To: VP - Transit Services Sales
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Transit Services Sales group, you will be responsible for managing service sales opportunities across 10 to 20 transit customers within the region. You will drive aftermarket parts sales, identify engineering services opportunities (overhaul, modernization, kitting), and deepen customer relationships through regular on-site engagement. You will serve as the primary commercial point of contact, owning account performance and driving actions to meet quarterly and annual order intake targets. This role reports to the VP - Transit Services Sales and requires extensive collaboration with internal teams and customer stakeholders.
What do we want to know about you?

  • Technical knowledge of rolling stock maintenance and operations, including mechanical systems
  • 10+ years in the rail supply industry
  • Comfortable engaging with railway maintenance shop personnel, superintendents, and procurement managers
  • Strong commercial acumen and sales experience
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM reporting and Oracle systems
  • Ability to travel to cover regional accounts (up to 50%)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to execute plans and achieve goals
  • Strong ability to work with cross functional teams and clearly communicate customer needs
  • Passion for customer success and continuous improvement
What will your typical day look like?
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned Transit Agencies
  • Develop understanding of customer maintenance practices, procurement cycles, and operational priorities
  • Drive customer alignment to prescribed overhaul and maintenance activities
  • Capture parts demands, identify competitive threats, and develop defensive strategies
  • Develop aftermarket parts annual orders budgets for Transit and Locomotives
  • Identify Fleet lifecycle position to maximize overhauls, upgrades, and end-of-life parts strategy
  • Identify and develop service opportunities tied to equipment overhauls and lifecycle extensions
  • Seek out LTPA opportunities with committed quantities
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of service opportunities
  • Provide commercial intelligence to site-based teams
  • Engage in regular site visits at top customer locations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality performance
  • Monitor and report on customer satisfaction
  • Drive order intake performance by customer and sub-region
  • Support pricing strategy and contract negotiations
  • Maintain CRM data accuracy and ensure pipeline visibility
  • Track market trends and competitor activity
  • Support long-term account planning with a focus on service growth
  • Own weekly sales reporting and drive corrective actions

Comment ferez-vous la difference ?
En tant que membre du groupe des ventes des services de transport, vous serez responsable de la gestion des opportunites de vente de services aupres de 10 a 20 clients du secteur du transport en commun dans la region. Vous stimulerez les ventes de pieces de rechange, identifierez des opportunites de services d'ingenierie (revision, modernisation, kits), et renforcerez les relations clients par des visites regulieres sur site. Vous serez le principal interlocuteur commercial, responsable de la performance des comptes et des actions visant a atteindre les objectifs trimestriels et annuels de commandes. Ce poste releve du VP - Ventes des Services de Transport et necessite une collaboration etroite avec les equipes internes et les parties prenantes chez les clients.
Ce que nous souhaitons savoir sur vous :
  • Connaissances techniques en maintenance et exploitation du materiel roulant, y compris les systemes mecaniques
  • Plus de 10 ans d'experience dans l'industrie ferroviaire
  • A l'aise pour interagir avec le personnel des ateliers de maintenance ferroviaire, les surintendants et les responsables des achats
  • Solide sens commercial et experience en vente
  • Maitrise des rapports CRM Salesforce et des systemes Oracle
  • Capacite a voyager pour couvrir les comptes regionaux (jusqu'a 50 %)
  • Excellentes competences en communication orale et ecrite
  • Capacite demontree a executer des plans et atteindre des objectifs

A quoi ressemblera votre journee typique ?
  • Etre le principal point de contact commercial pour les agences de transport assignees
  • Developper une comprehension des pratiques de maintenance des clients, des cycles d'approvisionnement et des priorites operationnelles
  • Aligner les activites de revision et de maintenance avec les besoins des clients
  • Identifier les besoins en pieces, les menaces concurrentielles et elaborer des strategies defensives
  • Definir les budgets annuels de commandes de pieces de rechange pour le transport en commun et les locomotives
  • Identifier la position du cycle de vie des flottes pour maximiser les revisions, les mises a niveau et les strategies de fin de vie des pieces
  • Identifier et developper des opportunites de services liees aux revisions d'equipements et aux extensions de cycle de vie
  • Rechercher des opportunites LTPA (accords a long terme avec quantites engagees)
  • Construire et maintenir un pipeline sain d'opportunites de services
  • Fournir des informations commerciales aux equipes basees sur site
  • Effectuer des visites regulieres chez les principaux clients
  • Collaborer avec les equipes internes pour assurer la livraison a temps et la qualite des prestations
  • Suivre et rendre compte de la satisfaction client
  • Stimuler la performance des commandes par client et sous-region
  • Soutenir la strategie de tarification et les negociations contractuelles
  • Maintenir l'exactitude des donnees CRM et assurer la visibilite du pipeline
  • Suivre les tendances du marche et l'activite des concurrents
  • Soutenir la planification a long terme des comptes avec un accent sur la croissance des services
  • Assurer le reporting hebdomadaire des ventes et mettre en oeuvre des actions correctives
