REGIONAL FIELD MANAGER - CALGARY, EDMONTON OR SURROINDING AREAS - TEMPORARY 3-MONTH CONTRACT
Position Summary:
Encore is looking to identify top talent with a background in the CPG space to help spearhead our continuing growth in the new year. This is a future opportunity as we continue to expand our business. This role is leading and developing a team of part-time sales and merchandising representatives across the region representing an industry leader in the CPG world. Your team is focused on our client's success at retail through call coverage objectives, increasing distribution & visibility of their products, executing brand priorities and building strong relationships with key store contacts. Position Responsibilities:
Lead your team to meet objectives which will include developing strong relationships with department managers and increasing sales of the product brands through sales and merchandising activities
Delivering on sales targets for the clients product lines within designated banners within the territory geographic area
Effectively communicate retail priorities to your team
Ensure optimal call coverage/frequency is maintained (Territory worksheets completed & optimized)
Spend 50% to 60% of your time in field training & supporting your team
Lead retail sales during seasonal activations, ensure staff launch display and distribution efforts to enable each brand to reach its targets
Review performance reports to ensure that objectives are being met and put plans in place if they are not
Provide initial and ongoing training, which will require travel across the region as required
Maintain ongoing communication with the retail team. (Voice Mails, Emails, Conference calls)
Track Rep call averages, daily activities, and success against objectives - full utilization of the tools provided in tracking your reps
Maintain a partnership and regular communication with client contacts
Provide feedback and insights on field coverage on a regular basis
Participate in development, planning and running/execution of Regional Retail sales meetings
Lead the informal and formal performance development process of your team members
Your Experience:
5+ years of successfully leading teams in a grocery environment
5 years of CPG or Category experience
A natural, inspirational leader - The ability to cultivate collaborative internal and external relationships through leadership, influence and impact
A genuine desire to move your team up the performance ladder
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
High degree of comfort with technology
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel overnight - 10-15%
