Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as our Regional Executive Chef, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the Marquise Culinary Playbook and The Five Ingredients as the foundation for the Culinary Offer at Marquise.
  • Where necessary or requested, Audits that result in action plans to improve our Culinary Offer at a specific site or sites.
  • Food Preparation and Planning; Test new recipes; Plan and develop LTC (Long-Term Care) menu and Retirement menus to meet legislative guidelines
  • Train, coach and educate chefs, cooks and managers to improve their culinary skills and exhibit a Passion for Culinary.
  • Assist with the implementation of menu management system and resident profile software and provide operational support i.e., training, on-site support to facilitate rollout
  • Responsible for maintaining corporate service standards and quality assurance programs, including delivering monthly education, assist with satisfaction surveys, audits and compliance measures
  • Participates in review of culinary survey results for gaining insights to improve. Ensures maximum participation.
  • Product Safety and Purchasing; Ensure product development is within the nutritional and cost parameters
  • Support new unit opening and implementation to ensure new account is set up with Compass purchasing compliance, inventory and production processes
Think you have what it takes to be our Regional Executive Chef? We're committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here's how we'll know you'll be successful in the role:
  • Post-secondary education; Culinary Designation or Culinary Arts Diploma, Red Seal required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) or a large healthcare facility in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Multi-unit tactical support in a culinary role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic design platforms such as Canva
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
