We have an exciting new opportunity for a Regional Clinic Operations Manager!
The Regional Clinic Operations Manager is an accomplished healthcare leader who has a demonstrated ability to execute with a passion for patients, people, and high-quality performance. The successful candidate is an exceptional relationship developer with a history of working with high-performing teams and achieving results through excellence in execution.
The Regional Clinic Operations Manager will work hands-on with 3 direct reporting Clinic Managers and their teams to provide high-quality patient care services. To ensure high-quality and integrated care to a portfolio encompassing 5 medical clinics, including specialist programs, diagnostic services partners, and partner pharmacies within Alberta.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the MCI Medical Clinics national leadership team and direct regional reports by ensuring quality and risk management, financial and utilization management, planning, infection control, patient safety, and clinical practice.
Reporting directly to the President, responsibilities generally include, but are not limited to the following:
Management:

  • Development and implementation of clinic policies and standard operating procedures
  • Support and coach Managers in the development and implementation of best practices, business development, and day-to-day operations of their clinics
  • Assist with Physician recruitment for your MCI The Doctors Office\xe2\x84\xa2 designated clinics
  • Seek new business opportunities in support of better healthcare for Patients
  • Support and respond to the needs of Clinic Managers and Physicians relative to the urgency
  • In conjunction with the Director of Human Resources, locate, interview and recommend for hire Clinic Managers and other senior employees as needed
  • Provide orientation and guidance for new Managers
  • Monitor Clinic Managers as required with staff hiring/orientation process
  • Provide direction /monitor adherence to MCI Policies and Procedures
  • Oversee clinics when managers are on leave as needed
  • Assist/approve discharging a patient(s) with Managers
  • Support managers in dealing with medical related issues at the clinic level
  • Clinic visits on a regular basis
Administration:
  • Schedule, monitor and approve Managers schedules and vacation/absence requests.
  • Plan and manage Clinic Manager meetings
  • Approve all staff payroll authorization forms and evaluations
  • Complete performance evaluations of Clinic Managers
  • Respond to escalations by Clinic Managers
  • Remain current with all Alberta Medical Association releases and updates
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health, Public Health and Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations
Financial:
  • Weekly flash reviews and distribution to Managers
  • Analyze and distribute Profit and Loss statements monthly
  • Work with the Managers to meet financial objectives and staffing targets
  • Promote timely reporting of regional data [patient counts, surveys and walk-outs]
  • Work with Managers on annual clinic budget
  • Maintain and promote compliance with Uninsured Services Fee Schedule
  • Ensure Managers work within annual budgets and monitor results
Other:
  • Oversee smooth, coordinated implementation of company-wide programs
  • Assume responsibility for Clinic Manager succession planning
  • Work with IT on implementation of EMR and any applicable clinic software
  • Provide assistance for new clinic development and clinic relocations, closures and/or moves
  • Field telephone calls in the evenings and week-ends re clinic emergencies/security
  • In conjunction with HR, support business or personal needs that impact the clinics

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar complex healthcare environment.
  • Track record of leading staff and physician engagement, system integration, and clinical transformation
  • Expert in EMR software, Accuro is considered an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver\'s license and reliable vehicle as travel to clinics is required.
