Summary

The Manager, Refurbishment oversees the day-to-day commercial, business analytics, and administration of the Qualified Refurbishment Program, which include but are not limited to commercial bids, program performance against budget, tracking and development of key KPI's (production hours, efficiency, current & historic costs). This role requires a unique combination of technical aviation, business, finance, and leadership abilities to manage program schedules, and personnel. The candidate will have a strong cross functional ability to work with functional groups that have interest in the Refurbishment Program (Sales, Engineering, Programs). The position will also facilitate with the core team and coordinate monthly operating reporting packs for review with the Vice President - Qualified Refurbishment Program.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budget, cost management and resource allocation on approved objectives. Identify and manage risks to mitigate impact to scope, schedule, cost, and quality constraints. Ensure clear communication with team members for objectives, timelines, and priorities. Hold team members accountable for their commitments and ensure on time delivery of the program. Create and sustain clear, concise communication and governance initiatives to keep stakeholders informed, including assessment and reporting on risk and contingency within the harmonized change plans. Establish quality criteria for project success. Ensure projects are measured against initial quality criteria throughout their execution and up to completion. Follow and ensure change milestones are achieved within the committed schedules and budget. Accept full accountability for accomplishment of approved project objectives. Manage cross functional projects within schedule, budget, and quality to support organizational change, project engineering, manufacturing activities, and DHC operations. Evaluate, schedule, and budget any required program. Ensure quality and risk management, as well as governance and team coordination of the programs to comply with company strategy and targets. Ensure full compliance with all internal policies Ensure application of professional standards and company processes are followed in accomplishing program activities.

Qualifications & Experience

A post-secondary education in aviation maintenance, quality, or a related engineering field is often required, along with significant experience in aircraft maintenance and quality assurance. 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a large component manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry. A deep understanding of aircraft maintenance, including specific systems like hydraulics and flight controls. Experience in aviation safety requirements, certification requirements, and legislation. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and problem-solving. Demonstrated skills in leading and motivating a team, communicating clearly, and making decisions under pressure. Advanced knowledge in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
