MatrixHR is recruiting an experienced Refrigeration Technician for a client of ours located in Vancouver BC. This is a Food Equipment specialists for installation, maintenance, and repair. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of refrigeration systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise, learn the Pinnacle style of customer care and install.Type: Permanent.Location: Vancouver BC.Pay: $34/hr for apprentice OR $45/hour for a seasoned and very experienced technician.Duties:

• Maintain customers\xe2\x80\x99 refrigeration systems, in restaurants, grocery stores (large walk-ins).
• Inspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans, and expansion valves.
• Inspect tubing, connections, valves, and pumps.
• Replace seals, gaskets, and bushings.
• Re-assemble system components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and pumps.

Responsibilities:

• Provide service to commercial refrigeration systems, including installing, servicing, repairing, and replacing parts; participating in preventative maintenance schedules; and performing minor calibrations.
• Perform system checks, system troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery.
• Perform electrical and gas system troubleshooting.
• Maintain records including daily service logs, refrigerant recovery reports, and service records.
• Research and resolve complex system problems.
• Complete assigned paperwork and forms.
• Conduct safety inspections, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and verify that safety regulations are followed.

Requirements And Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in industrial, residential or commercial food service equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing.
