Summary

We are seeking a Red Seal Refrigeration Technician or a Level 3 apprentice Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Prairie Meats. In this role, you will support the retail, production and facility operations by maintaining equipment, identifying and resolving issues, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems and controls on equipment

Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

Maintain and upgrade equipment to meet safety standards and production needs

Assist with mechanical maintenance and equipment installations

Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime

Adhere to company policies and safety protocols

Requirements

Red Seal Refrigeration Technician certification licensed in Saskatchewan or minimum of Level 3 Apprentice Refrigeration Technician working towards obtaining Red Seal licensing

- Valid SK drivers license and clean driving abstract (required as travel within Saskatoon)

Strong knowledge of schematics and control systems

Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Mechanically inclined with experience in an industrial or food processing environment considered an asset

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong commitment to workplace safety and food safety practices
