Global Gourmet Foods is a federally registered food manufacturer who supplies premium kettle products to key accounts in both domestic and export markets. Refrigeration Technician

to join our team. The selected candidate must be able to work independently as well as delivering consistent results on multiple priorities, within a fast-paced work environment, reporting to Maintenance Manager.

This position is responsible for installing, servicing and maintaining chillers,HVAC and refrigeration systems (non-ammonia) within the plant.

Main Duties:

Responsible for the field servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting all components of commercial refrigeration units and systems, make-up unites, exhaust fans and central air conditioning Completes timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects/deficiencies Performs scheduled maintenance service on HVAC and Refrigeration systems and fixtures Provides input into the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule Install, troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems Repair and replace parts and components for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems Replace air filters on MUA units, office HVAC and air registers Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Employment requirements:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent secondary school Experience in the field servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting all components of 30-40 hp commercial refrigeration systems, make-up unites, exhaust fans and central air conditioning Knowledge of electrical systems, control circuitry and 3-phase power distribution systems up to 600V Knowledge of gas heating systems in make-up air units Ability to work independently and cooperatively with the maintenance team in each area of expertise Ability to work in extreme cold and extreme heights in order to service evaporator coils and fans Ability to respond to emergency work after hours, any day of the week Obtain further education and experience in the various production lines, system designs and installations from time to time
