Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various repair and maintenance tasks. This role involves installations, and repairs refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in

. You will work with various components like compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls, and connect them to piping systems for refrigerant. You will also diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, repair or replace faulty parts, and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic
Specific tasks of a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic include:
Installation:
Planning, laying out, and installing new refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including connecting piping, electrical wiring, and control systems.
Maintenance:
Inspecting, testing, and maintaining systems to ensure proper operation, including cleaning components, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing worn parts.
Repair:
Diagnosing system malfunctions, repairing or replacing faulty components, and ensuring systems are operating within specified parameters.
Commissioning:
Starting up, testing, and verifying the performance of newly installed or repaired systems, including adjusting controls and ensuring proper operation.
Decommissioning:
Safely shutting down and removing systems, including recovering refrigerant and disposing of components.
Certification:
Certification and licenses, such as the 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license in Ontario and G1 will be required.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair refrigeration mechanical issues in equipment and machinery.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
Build, weld, and fabricate components as needed for repairs or new installations.
Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all work activities.
Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in repair and maintenance.
