Your Opportunity:

We are pleased to offer this full-time refrigeration position that supports the Richmond Road Diagnostic Treatment Center and Sheldon Chumir Health Center. As a member of the facilities maintenance and engineering team you will work with a variety other trade groups and general maintenance staff.

Description:

As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible to assemble, install, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. You will also be required to perform continued preventative maintenance and operational performance checks on air or water cooled systems in accordance with Alberta Health Services standards and practices.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years journeyman experience. Must be physical fit (able to regularly lift 20 kgs, climb ladders and walk & stand for long periods). Must be able to work in hot and cold work environments. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work independently and as part of team. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using is Johnson controls Metasys building management system. Experience using Siemens Apogee building management system. Knowledge of laboratory and pharmaceutical refrigeration equipment. Ultra-low refrigeration repair experience. Packaged chiller experience.
