? Occupational Certification

? GL-MAM-00 and GL-MAM-10:

Possession of a valid provincial or inter-provincial Journeyperson Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (Commercial - 313A in Ontario or provincial equivalent).

? GL-MAM-10:

Possession of a valid Gas Technician 1 Certificate, or provincial equivalent. *


Notes:

Candidates holding a military Qualification Level 5 (QL5) must challenge and obtain the 313A prior to appointment.

Candidates holding a military QL5 qualification must challenge and obtain a valid Gas Technician 1 Certificate prior to appointment.
? Experience

? GL-MAM-00 and GL-MAM-10:

Experience in the field related to the trades licence held. Experience in the operation, maintenance and installation of residential, commercial, industrial, or institutional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration units and systems.
? GL-MAM-10:

Experience in the operation and maintenance of building Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Refrigeration Equipment

Willing and able to participate in the Skilled Trades Ontario apprenticeship.

? GL-MAM-10:

Must possess and maintain a valid Province of Ontario Refrigeration Certificate or interprovincial Red Seal Certificate of qualification (313A) and a G1 gas technician licence.

? GL-MAM-00 and GL-MAM-10:

Security clearance: Reliability Willing and able to meet the Manual Handling of Materials standard in the Canada Labour Code Part II. Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted class "G" driver's licence issued by the Province of Ontario or Provincial or Territorial equivalent without restriction. Provide an acceptable driver's abstract provided within 30 days of request, dated no earlier than 30 days prior to the request. Willing and able to obtain and maintain a valid DND 404 driver's license. Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment used in a construction/maintenance environment. Willing and able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, scaffolding and work from heights. Work may include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling and/or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, sitting, colour determination, on elevated devices, and using ladders, with a genie lift, cranes, heavy equipment and high voltage. Willing and able to work in hot and cold environments for extended periods of time. Willing and able to travel to undertake training as required. Must possess and maintain a valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certification. Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.
