Your expertise will extend to training staff in digital approaches to search and library research, establishing document delivery and interlibrary loan services, and creating customized digital library solutions to meet business needs.This role is instrumental in enhancing knowledge dissemination, fostering collaboration across departments, and advising on strategic business plans and performance metrics.   • Advise Library manager on departmental plans, policies, and procedures, utilizing operational analytics and expertise in reference research, technology support, and information management.
  • Lead corporate reference service, gathering authoritative sources to inform decision-making, including databases, studies, and generative AI, on Occupational Health and Safety topics.
  • Administer Integrated Library System, guiding cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, and workflow management while providing staff with policy and procedure support.
  • Manage library website and content systems, aligning with corporate standards and utilizing technologies like Microsoft M365 for document strategy and file management.
  • Provide work direction, prioritizes tasks, and delivers training to staff, ensuring an even workflow and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Encompass strategic guidance, leadership in information gathering, system administration, technological proficiency, and staff management, all vital to advancing library services at WorkSafeBC.

  • Effective in training staff, and prioritizing tasks.
Your background and experience
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in library sciences
  • A minimum of 2 years (real time) related experience.
