Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator with a Reefer for a routed contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of service. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition for operations.

Duties

Operate and maintain a commercial vehicle for the transportation of freight. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to keep the vehicle in good working condition.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts, is preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive repair to address minor mechanical issues on the road. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage delivery schedules effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
