Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and mechanics, with proficiency in various hand tools and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with sheet metal to fabricate, install, and repair components for various projects. A commitment to quality workmanship and safety is essential.

Duties

Fabricate and install sheet metal products according to specifications and design plans. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, bending, and shaping metal. Perform welding tasks as needed to ensure structural integrity of installations. Conduct restoration work on existing metal structures as required. Collaborate with other tradespeople including carpenters, plumbers, and flooring installers to complete projects efficiently. Apply caulking and construction painting techniques as necessary for finishing touches. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to sheet metal work. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics. Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, flooring installation, tile laying, and restoration processes is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Pay: $23.71-$45.52 per hour
