Machinist/Machine Operator

TUBE-FAB A 70-year-old, aerospace assembly & component manufacturer, is currently seeking experienced

Machinist/Machine Operator

to join our team in our Summerside, PEI facility. We are seeking individuals who are dedicated and committed to making Tube Fab Ltd. an industry leader.

We are looking for someone to start right away and who is already living in the Province. We will not be considering applications for anyone out of Country.

Red Seal Certified is a must

10+ Years in a Machining environment dealing with CNC Mills and Lathes

Duties and responsibilities:

SET UP, OPERATE, PROGRAM, and MAINTAIN a variety of machines and equipment (CNC mills, CNC Lathes, Saws, deburring machines, grinders, polishing machines, presses, etc). Training will be provided. Surface finishing of metal parts using buffing machines. Assist in the set-up and use of one or more light metalworking machines. Cut, punch, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Accurately measure partsproducts using measuring tape, micrometer andor Verniercaliper Ensure partsproducts are within the specified tolerances, requested by the customer or on the work order. Ensure any special instructions on the work order are followed. Stack, bundle, skid or package the partsproducts. Maintain work area, clean and orderly. PERFORM House Keeping Tasks in all areas of the plant Ensure facility and equipment is in safe working condition; report any issues to your supervisor. Wear all appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when working. Perform other duties or functions to assist the company, as requested by your supervisor.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Must be able to keep all schedule shift commitments, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail.

Our ideal candidate would have the following experience:

Red Seal Machinist certified is a must CNC Mill Programing capabilities 10+ years of experience in a Machining manufacturing industry. Strong communication and organizational skills are an asset Working in a quick turnaround production environment Experience working in the aerospace industry would be asset

Educational and or credential requirements:

Red Seal Certified High School Diploma College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training in Machining

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
