Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Red Seal HVAC-R/Gas-Fitter to join our team at Apex on rotational shift work. As a locally owned and operated full-service mechanical company based in Prince George, BC, we specialize in the commercial, industrial, modular, and remote workforce camp sectors. We proudly serve all of Northern BC, the Cariboo Regional District, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Haida Gwaii.

Responsibilities (included but not limited to)

Install, service, repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on heating, gas, and HVAC systems (including Heat Pumps and ERV's) Full mobilization, installation, and demobilization of modular buildings in remote camp settings Understanding of provincial and local HVAC-R/gas codes Willingness to mentor apprentices as required Commercial, modular, and residential experience an asset Supply and maintain basic hand tools (company supplies power and specialty tools) Ability to use software system for scheduling, tracking hours, and jobs Uphold company safety standards/safe work procedures

Requirements

Red Seal HVAC-R/Gas-Fitter Gas Class B Certification Valid Class 5 drivers license Work within company safety standards/safe work procedures

Ability to work rotational shift work (14 on-14 off/14 on-7 off, depending on time of year)

Fly-in/fly-out (possible drive in/out with company vehicle depending on location)

Each working day is 6hrs regular time, 4hrs overtime, and anything over 10hrs is double time*
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions Perform all work in accordance with applicable provincial and local codes
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48.26-$49.97 per hour
