Le poste
Le poste de recruteur etudiant du Campus Saint-Jean est principalement situe sur le Campus Saint-Jean a Edmonton, en Alberta. Le poste sera aussi occasionnellement situe sur le Campus Nord a Edmonton, AB. Les heures de travail pour ce poste seront variees, y compris l'obligation de travailler les soirs et les fins de semaine. Ce poste exige des heures supplementaires, de nombreux deplacements au Canada et des absences du domicile qui peuvent durer en moyenne plus de cinq jours par voyage (principalement de septembre a decembre).
Student Recruitment soutient le recrutement d'etudiants potentiels de premier cycle a l'Universite de l'Alberta. Ce poste unique se rapportera directement au Student Recruitment Service Partner au sein du Student Recruitment du bureau du registraire, mais il travaillera quotidiennement en etroite collaboration avec l'equipe de recrutement d'etudiants du Campus Saint-Jean et le reste de l'equipe de recrutement du CSJ, qui se trouve sur place et qui releve directement du Campus Saint-Jean.
Le recruteur d'etudiants du Campus Saint-Jean est responsable de la diffusion de l'information et de la promotion efficace de l'Universite de l'Alberta, et plus particulierement de la connaissance du Campus Saint-Jean (CSJ) aupres des etudiants potentiels de tout le Canada. Ce poste passionnant et diversifie soutient l'execution des strategies de recrutement du CSJ, ce qui comprend la representation du CSJ dans les salons de l'enseignement postsecondaire, les presentations en classe, la planification d'evenements pour les etudiants potentiels, les visites du campus, l'organisation et l'execution de details administratifs et la recherche des tendances de recrutement, au besoin, pour recruter des etudiants potentiels exceptionnels. Ce poste exige de nombreux deplacements a travers l'Alberta et le Canada, en ciblant des ecoles secondaires, des colleges et des evenements speciaux pour recruter des etudiants potentiels par le biais de presentations et d'interactions individuelles. De plus, ce poste participera au recrutement et a la connexion avec les etudiants potentiels en utilisant des plateformes virtuelles.
Les taches du poste incluent
Voyager a travers l'Alberta et le Canada en ciblant des ecoles secondaires, des institutions postsecondaires et des evenements speciaux pour recruter des etudiants potentiels par le biais de presentations, de foires de kiosques et de conseils individuels.
Engager le public d'une maniere appropriee a l'age, a la culture et a l'inclusion.
Repondre aux demandes de renseignements courantes et non courantes concernant le CSJ et l'universite, les possibilites d'apprentissage integre au travail, les services aux etudiants, les exigences d'admission et le statut d'admission. Repondre a un eventail de questions sur une variete de sujets (tels que la conversion des programmes d'etudes nationaux, la conversion IB/AP, les liens aux parcours de carriere, les bourses d'etudes, etc).
Fournir des sessions de conseil en personne et virtuellement ainsi que soutenir les visites et les evenements du campus organises pour les etudiants potentiels, les parents et les invites qui visitent le CSJ.
Faire la promotion du CSJ et de l'Universite de l'Alberta lors de divers evenements de recrutement aupres des etudiants potentiels et de leurs parents, y compris en prenant la parole en public.
Aider au developpement, a la participation et a la mise en oeuvre de la logistique des evenements de recrutement, tels que la journee portes ouvertes de la UofA. Aider a l'organisation d'autres evenements cles lies a la promotion et a la visibilite du CSJ, tels que, mais sans s'y limiter, Francais pour l'avenir , les evenements de Canadian Parents for French, l'Olympiade des sciences, etc.
Travailler en etroite collaboration avec tous les postes du Student Recruitment*, ainsi qu'avec la direction et l'equipe de recrutement du CSJ afin de repondre aux besoins strategiques de la faculte et de l'universite, notamment en offrant un soutien a la planification d'evenements, un soutien aux initiatives virtuelles, aux admissions et a l'inscription de nouveaux etudiants. Developper, accroitre et maintenir de solides relations avec les principaux intervenants, tels que les conseillers des ecoles secondaires.
Participer a des projets de recherche, compiler des donnees et creer des evaluations sur l'efficacite des evenements.
Reflechir et proposer des idees nouvelles et innovantes pour ameliorer l'engagement des futurs etudiants dans le but de les recruter.
Evaluer les initiatives de recrutement auxquelles le CSJ aura participe en etablissant des rapports sur l'engagement des etudiants potentiels, la generation de pistes, le nombre de publications fournies, la participation a l'evenement et d'autres notes significatives decrivant l'objecctif et l'utilite de l'evenement aux fins d'evaluation et de planification future.
Diriger la collecte de pistes aupres des etudiants potentiels et suivre leur progression tout au long des demarches d'inscription. Saisir les donnees dans les systemes universitaires afin de suivre les candidats potentiels.
Assister les etudiants potentiels dans le processus de demande d'admission. Aider a resoudre les problemes d'admission afin de garantir l'admissibilite du groupe de candidats.
Travailler avec les candidats pour encourager l'acceptation des offres et le rendement, afin d'augmenter le nombre d'inscriptions au CSJ.
Maintenir l'engagement des etudiants admis et communiquer continuellement la valeur de la frequentation du CSJ a l'UofA; planifier et mettre en oeuvre des initiatives de rendement en consequence.
Aider les nouveaux etudiants du CSJ a s'inscrire aux cours, y compris les ateliers Inscriptions 101.
Assurer la liaison avec le personnel qui soutient la gestion des inscriptions et les objectifs des services aux etudiants au sein du Bureau du registraire du Campus Saint-Jean, ainsi qu'avec les equipes de recrutement autochtone et international.
Emballer et expedier le materiel de recrutement aux clients appropries, ainsi qu'aux destinations de voyage.
Effectuer d'autres taches selon les besoins.

Le candidat ideal sera titulaire d'un diplome de premier cycle de l'Universite de l'Alberta, la preference ou l'atout pour un diplome du CSJ; des combinaisons equivalentes d'education et d'experience seront considerees.

Position
The Student Recruiter, Campus Saint-Jean role is primarily located on Campus Saint-Jean in Edmonton, AB. The position will also occasionally be located on North Campus in Edmonton, AB. The hours of work for this position will be varied, including a requirement to work evenings and weekends. This position requires overtime, extensive travel within Canada, and time away from home that may average more than five days per trip (primarily September through December).
Student Recruitment supports the recruitment of prospective undergraduate students to the University of Alberta. This unique position will report directly to the Student Recruitment Service Partner within Student Recruitment in the Office of the Registrar but will work closely on a daily basis with the student recruitment team at Campus Saint-Jean, and the rest of the Campus Saint-Jean recruitment team located at, and reporting directly to, Campus Saint-Jean.
The Student Recruiter, Campus Saint-Jean is responsible for the dissemination of information and effective promotion of the University of Alberta and specifically specializes in knowledge about Campus Saint-Jean (CSJ), to prospective students across Canada. This exciting and diverse position supports the execution of CSJ recruitment strategies, which includes representing CSJ at post-secondary fairs, classroom presentations, planning prospective student events, providing campus tours, organizing and executing administrative details, and researching recruitment trends as required to recruit exceptional prospective students. This position requires extensive travel across Alberta and Canada, targeting select high schools, colleges, and special events to recruit prospective students via presentations and one on one interactions, including driving a UofA fleet vehicle to local and rural Alberta recruitment events. In addition, this position will participate in recruiting and connecting with prospective students using virtual platforms.
Duties
Travels across Alberta and Canada targeting select high schools, postsecondary institutions, and special events to recruit prospective students via presentations, booth fairs and one-on-one advising.
Engages audiences in an age appropriate, culturally aware, and inclusive manner.
Responds to both routine and non-standard inquiries about Campus Saint-Jean and the university, work integrated learning opportunities, student services, admission requirements, and admission status. Answers a range of questions on a variety of subject areas (such as the conversion of domestic curricula, IB/AP conversion, connections to career pathways and scholarships, etc.) Escalates inquiries when required.
Provides on-campus and virtual advising, as well as supporting on-campus tours and events for prospective students, parents, and guests touring and visiting Campus Saint-Jean.
Promotes Campus Saint-Jean and the University of Alberta at various recruitment events to prospective students and their parents, including extensive public speaking.
Assist with the development, participation, and implementation of recruiting events logistics, such as the UofA Open House. Assist with other key events related to promotion and visibility of Campus Saint-Jean such as, but not limited to, French for the Future, Canadian Parents for French events, Olympiade des sciences, etc.
Works closely with all positions within the Student Recruitment, as well as CSJ leadership and CSJ recruitment team, to address the strategic needs of the faculty and university, including offering event-planning support, virtual initiatives support, admissions, and registration of new students.
Develops, grows and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as high school counsellors.
Assists with research projects, compiles data, and creates evaluations around event effectiveness.
Brainstorms and proposes new and innovative ideas to improve prospective student engagement for the purpose of recruitment.
Evaluates attended recruitment initiatives by reporting prospective engagement, lead generation, number of publications provided, event attendance, and other meaningful notes describing the purpose and utility of the event for evaluation and future planning purposes.
Drives the collection of leads from potential students and monitors their progression throughout the enrolment funnel. Enters data into university systems in order to track potential applicants.
Assists prospective students in the application for admission process. Helps to troubleshoot admission challenges to ensure admissibility of the applicant pool. Works with applicants to encourage offer acceptance and yield, ultimately increasing enrolment at Campus Saint-Jean.
Keeps admitted students engaged and continually conveys the value of attending Campus Saint-Jean at the UofA; plans and implements yield initiatives accordingly.
Assists incoming students to CSJ with course registration, including Registration 101 workshops.
Liaises with staff who support enrolment management and student services objectives within the Office of the Registrar, Campus Saint-Jean, as well as the Indigenous and International Recruitment teams.
Packages and ships recruitment materials to appropriate clients, as well as to travel destinations.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Alberta, preference or asset for a Campus Saint-Jean graduate; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Excellent written and oral communication in both French and English and interpersonal skills.
Detail and customer service oriented.
Excellent organizational skills, highly motivated, and organized.
Able to balance priorities.
Excellent public image, including on social media.
Able to engage with different audiences at an age-appropriate level, culturally aware and inclusive manner.
Able to travel extensively.

Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License; 3-year driver's abstract will be required.
Good knowledge of the UofA and the CSJ, and post-secondary institutions.
Good knowledge of the school system in Alberta.
Excellent presentation skills (individually and large groups).
