The Recruitment Coordinator works closely with HR and supports hiring, onboarding, training, and engagement programs. 2 years of HR experience and working experience in a unionized environment is desired. Experience in not for profit is an asset.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is an established non-profit organization based in the heart of downtown Vancouver, supporting low-income individuals, vulnerable individuals. They primarily support women and children. They offer resources for basic needs, as well as specialized programs to help them through tough times.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Recruitment Coordinator will work closely with the Human Resources team and support hiring, onboarding and employee engagement efforts. A background in HR and not for profit is desired. The ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Supports the hiring process through job postings, resume screening, background and reference checks, and employment contracts.
Coordinates interviews, meetings and first day onboarding.
Supports onboarding, leads new hire orientations and first day expectations.
Manages HRIS and employee records.
Supports recruitment efforts by attending job fairs and a variety of community events.
Answers employee questions regarding collective agreements and employment contracts.
Assists with employee engagement event planning and activities.
Manages employee appreciation program.
Tracks employee certifications and renewals.
Organizes training and development workshops and courses.
Additional administration responsibilities as required.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Post secondary education in Human Resources, Degree or Diploma.
2+ years of experience supporting a Human Resources department.
Prior experience in an HR Assistant or HR Administration role is ideal.
Strong knowledge of employment standards.
Working experience in a unionized environment is required.
Prior experience working for a not-for-profit organization is desired.
Strong administration skills; highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
Full cycle recruitment experience is required.
Experience managing employee files and HRIS is required.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups.

COMPENSATION
Annual salary $58,000 \xe2\x80\x93 $68,000. Competitive benefits, 3 weeks vacation.
