Your opportunity:

Working under the general direction of the Director (Administration), International Programs, the Recruitment Assistant provides front-line and administrative support that furthers the recruitment, student services, and registration functions of the International Programs Office.

The Recruitment Assistant supports the implementation of all recruitment strategies and also has a focus on supporting recruitment objectives in Asia, Europe, and other regions as needed.

As a member of the New College International Programs Office, the Recruitment Assistant, International Programs, will be committed to an equity that recognizes, supports, and responds to the diverse histories, lived and marginalized experiences of international students and many communities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing detailed information regarding admissionrequirements, disseminating program materials, and liaising with prospective students, parents/guardians, and educational agents to provide detailed registration information
  • Determining logistical details required for the execution of admissions processes
  • Determining logistics for registration and program activities
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of information
  • Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures
  • Liaising with contacts to facilitate and initiate outreach opportunities and recruitment activities
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms and disseminating information via social media
  • Serving as a resource to others by providing (non-supervisory) job-related guidance
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two years of recent and related experience in student services and recruitment support, preferably in a language learning environment designed exclusively for international students.
  • Experience explaining program information and registration requirements to international students, parents/guardians, high schools, and educational agents.
  • Experience supporting the planning and implementation of recruitment activities.
  • Experience implementing logistics for registration and program activities.
  • Experience maintaining information on digital platforms (e.g. WordPress, Drupal) and disseminating information via social media (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
  • Advance skills with Microsoft Office 365 (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to multi-task and have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage and adapt to new and changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated tact and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated strong student and client service orientation and experience fostering equity, diversity and inclusion in a language-learning environment.
Assets (Nonessential):
  • Familiarity with the language learning market in Asia.
  • Familiarity working with educational agents.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and/or German.
