Recruiter/HR Administrator
with proven
experience recruiting skilled trades and industrial talent

Key Responsibilities
Partner with hiring managers to assess workforce needs and develop proactive recruitment strategies for skilled trades and technical positions.
Write, post, and manage compelling job ads for niche technical and trade roles using BambooHR and other platforms.
Actively source passive and active trade talent through job boards, LinkedIn, trade schools, apprenticeships, job fairs, industry associations, and other creative channels.
Screen, shortlist, and coordinate interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience from first contact to offer.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process--from job requisition to offer letter, onboarding, and integration for both trades and non-trades roles.
Maintain and improve our onboarding process using BambooHR, ensuring precision and compliance.
Act as a brand ambassador, showcasing ICE Western's culture, values, and opportunities to attract top industry talent.
Provide training and support for employees and managers on BambooHR functionality.
Draft internal announcements, welcome communications, and HR memos with a professional and engaging tone.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and hiring best practices.
Support general HR administration, employee records, and site coordination across our two Calgary facilities.
What You Bring to the Table
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a skilled trades or industrial manufacturing environment
(HVAC, fabrication, welding, electrical, mechanical, or similar).
Bamboo HR (ATS / HRIS applications)
Strong track record in sourcing hard-to-find trade candidates and building talent pipelines.
Exceptional organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Confident communicator with the ability to engage all personality types and levels of seniority.
Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms is a strong asset.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local sites (within 10 minutes of each other).
