The opportunity

The Recruiter for Amica residences in British Columbia, will be responsible for executing the recruitment strategy at the residence level, along with coordinating the recruitment cycle for specific direct service positions in culinary, housekeeping nursing and care. You will consult with HR Partners and Business Leaders on their recruitment needs, create recruitment plans and proactively pursue various recruitment channels to identify and attract candidates. You will manage the recruitment process end-to-end to ensure a differentiating candidate experience.

What you will be doing

  • Promote the Amica brand with potential candidates.
  • Provide candidates with information on our organization, residences, and job opportunities as well as service levels expectations.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Amica direct service roles, talent requirements, and brand standards expectations.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Amica pay philosophy and rates.
  • Manage our External Business Partnership database for Western Canada
  • Build and maintain qualified candidate pools for the region.
  • Prescreen applications for suitability to specific positions.
  • Calibrate multiple candidates against requirements and recommend best fit.
  • Organize interviews or group interviews with local leaders if necessary.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process end-to-end until offer acceptance.
  • Assist candidates through the pre-boarding process including background and reference checks, compliance learning and health authorities\xe2\x80\x99 compliance and licenses.
  • Foster relationships with local schools and training facilities including onsite activities.
  • Work on special talent acquisition projects as required.
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 3 years in the retirement industry,
  • Experience in health care, senior living, hospitality, or retail is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years as a recruiter
  • Knowledge of iCIMS or any Applicant Tracking System (from posting a job to hiring/talent pools/creating reports etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management (preferred).
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Independent thinker who can anticipate changing needs and provide support to remote team members.
  • Customer service focus
  • Superior oral, written and listening communication skills.
  • Initiative, discretion, and a drive for results
  • Demonstrated ability to organize workload and set priorities accordingly.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various working groups.
  • Being self-directed, motivated, and resourceful and always performing in a highly professional manner
