Wages: $20.77-$26.03
The Therapy Aide provides safe, effective recreational programming with a focus on the residents' individual goals as outlined and approved by established practice. The Therapy Aide facilitates and implements recreation programs for the residents and provides support, direction and supervision to volunteers.
A high school diploma is required and post secondary therapeutic recreation aide course work preferred. Two years experience in Continuing Care/Community Care. Experience providing therapy aide assistance to geriatric and disabled populations and those with various cognitive impairments who reside within a long term care/community care setting. Valid Class IV Drivers License and First Aid Certificate required.
You are a self-directed individual with good oral and written English communication skills, excellent time management skills, attention to detail and problem solving abilities. You have knowledge or experience in leading individuals and group situations. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cross-functional capacity, as well as work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team. Computer experience required. Food Safe 1 (Post July 29, 2013) or equivalent required for BC employees and Food Safe Certificate or equivalent for Alberta employees.

Requirements:
A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
