Basic Responsibilities of the position include:

Co-ordinating, planning, and implementing programs and recreation-based treatment activities for senior residents based on their needs. Leading, motivating, and assuming responsibility for residents in a variety of individual and group therapy programs, both in the facility and in the community. Consulting with the Manager in the selection of activities most appropriate to meet the residents' needs and abilities, based on individual care plans. Recruiting, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating volunteers in assigned programs.

Requirements for the position:

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data. Diploma or degree in Therapeutic Recreation Minimum 2 years' experience in related recreational field preferred. Current and on-going satisfactory Criminal Record Check. Valid Class 4 driver's license. Current satisfactory driver's abstract Current claims experience letter First Aid certification is an asset
