Key Duties and Responsibilities:




Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned recreation programs. Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates plans and programs designed to ensure that the needs of children, youth, and families are met. Ensures that program standards, guidelines and policies of BGCO are maintained and that all licensing requirements are met. Assists with the recruitment of program staff and volunteers including conducting interviews, selection, hiring, and orientation. Authority for the day-to-day direction, performance feedback of program staff and volunteers. Addresses staff workplace issues and assists in resolving workplace disputes. Ensures that accurate program and client records are maintained, and that confidentiality is a priority. Responsible for the co-ordination of quality and diverse programming. Works closely with the Manager on program development, procedures, and evaluations. Manages program budgets. Ensures effective communication with staff and families.



Qualifications:




Three years recent related experience including one-year supervisory or administrative experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience and/or Diploma in a related human/ social service field. Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and supervisory skills. First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain within three months Class 5 Driver's Licence and willingness to obtain Class 4 DL Successfully completion of the Agency screening process, including criminal record check

This position requires union membership.




Hours:

35 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, mix of days, evenings, and Saturdays required


Rate of Pay:

$24.69 per hour
