This strong foundational belief is encompassed and supported by the legislation and regulations highlighted in \xe2\x80\x9cThe Residents\' Rights\xe2\x80\x9d and the \xe2\x80\x9cFixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021\xe2\x80\x9d.Gateway Haven operates as a municipal home, and the not-for profit structure allows for a level of care that is of exceptional quality while also being transparent in operation and accountability.About the JobReporting to the Administrator, the Recreation and Leisure Manager is responsible for managing age appropriate recreation, leisure, restorative and education programs for the residents of LTC. These programs are responsive to the abilities, strengths, needs, interests and former lifestyle of the resident of the facilities. This includes a wide variety of services and activities to the meet the resident\'s physical, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs. Additionally, the incumbent oversees the day-to-day operations of the department through supervision of staff, budgeting and purchasing and coordination of volunteers. The Manager is also responsible for the restorative care program for the residents of the Home, including coordinating and collaborating with specialized services such as mobility vendors and therapists.Salary & BenefitsLocation

Three years of previous experience in a long term care setting
Previous supervisory experience
Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies
Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals
Demonstrated time management skill
Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation of employees
Experience with budget preparation and management
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
