Position Overview

As a Recreation Experience Coordinator, you will ensure the safe and smooth operation of our pool facilities, lead Aquafit classes, and help create a welcoming and engaging experience for all facility users. A strong background in recreation, sports management, kinesiology, or a related field is required, along with the ability to deliver group fitness programming.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a

40-60 minute Aquafit class

for participants of varying fitness levels Monitor and maintain safety standards in and around the pool area Conduct regular checks of pool equipment, water chemistry, and facility cleanliness Perform daily light maintenance (e.g., cleaning filters, skimming pool, tidying deck) Open and close the pool area following safety and facility protocols Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and incidents Organize and support recreational activities and ensure positive guest experiences Communicate with fellow staff to ensure smooth operations during shifts

Requirements

Background in Recreation, Sports Management, Kinesiology, or related field Experience or can lead a group fitness or Aquafit classes (preferred) Comfortable handling pool chemicals (PPE & training provided) Strong communication and organizational skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication, reliability, and professionalism Must be available full-time, including evenings and at least one weekend day
