Summary

As a Recreation Assistant at Pretty River Residence, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our senior residents. This position is based in Collingwood and is integral to creating engaging recreational programs that promote physical activity, social interaction, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing recreational programs tailored to the interests and abilities of seniors. Encourage participation in activities that promote physical fitness and social engagement. Provide support to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Foster a welcoming environment that enhances the overall experience of residents. Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate events and outings. Maintain records of resident participation and feedback to improve future programming.

Requirements

Experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Understanding of dementia care principles is an asset. A passion for promoting active lifestyles among seniors.
