Job Overview


The Recovery Coach plays a vital role in supporting individuals on their healing journey from substance use disorders, mental health challenges and homelessness which in many cases is the result of intergenerational Complex Trauma. This position involves providing guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance to help participants achieve their healing and recovery goals. The Recovery Coach will work closely with team members and participants to develop personalized plans, facilitate access to resources, and foster a supportive environment conducive to healing and growth. And help ensure they are housing ready, assisting them to transition from supportive transitional housing to 2nd and 3rd stage housing, leading to independent living.

Responsibilities



Establish trusting relationships with participants to promote open communication and support. Assist participants in identifying personal recovery goals and developing actionable healing plans. Provide ongoing support through regular check-ins and motivational encouragement. Facilitate access to community resources, including treatment programs such; Wellbriety and AA support groups, and culturally focused social services support programs. Conduct assessments to analyze client needs and progress in their recovery journey. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress reports. Collaborate with other professionals in the field to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Organize Sharing Circles, Workshops and Group sessions focused on, health living, skill-building and recovery strategies.

Skills



Strong writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes. Bilingual abilities in English and Cree are preferred to better serve diverse populations. Training and/or good working knowledge in CBT, Re/ACT, Wellbriety and Intergenerational Complex Trauma. Analytical skills to assess client needs effectively and develop tailored recovery plans. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and motivate clients towards their goals. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple clients and maintain detailed records. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word, for documentation tasks . Understanding and knowledge of HIFIS Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet client needs efficiently. Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
