JOB SUMMARY

As a member of a professional team that provides operational direction to the Records and Information Management function this position is responsible for supporting and developing a comprehensive range of activities and services associated with the effective and efficient delivery of AGLC's Records Management Program. Reporting to the Supervisor, Records Management, the Records Technical Support Analyst has a key role in the implementation of the Electronic Records Management solution to further enhance, coordinate, and optimize the delivery of the Records Management function within AGLC.

As the Records Technical Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting a broad variety of records management initiatives, practices, and developing related business processes. In addition to providing consultation and coaching support to divisional staff in relation to Records Management technologies, tools, and processes. This position acts as a trouble shooter evaluating existing systems and recommends improvements in all parts of the records management program by supporting the, implementation of the Electronic Records Management solution, and processes, and provide training to end users.

As the successful candidate, you require strong organizational and time management skills in order to set priorities and adhere to established time frames. In depth knowledge of Information Technology and how it relates to Records Management along with careful attention to detail and strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to communicate and interact effectively with various co-workers and clients

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • This position requires a High School Diploma supported by Records and Information Management Certificate or a Library Information Technology diploma and a minimum of 2 years of Records Management related experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Information Technology and how it relates to Records Management is required.
  • FOIP Training and experience with SharePoint is an asset.
  • The ability to lift up to 35 lbs is required.
