Job Description

What You'll Do
You'll be joining the CNSC at an exciting time of digital transformation, including the adoption of SharePoint as a Records Management Tool. As a Records Administrator, you will be providing file management services for electronic and paper files, records and documents and contributing to the improvement of our information management policies and practices across the organization. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, and have experience providing guidance and information to discerning clients or customers, this is the environment for you!
Essential Qualifications:
Education:
Secondary school diploma
Language Requirements:
Bilingual imperative with proficiency at BBB level. If you are unsure of your proficiency level, we encourage you to self-assess .
Experience:

  • Managing paper and/or electronic documents and records
  • Using an electronic document and records management system (such as eDOCS, RDIMS, GCDocs (Content Server 10), or SharePoint)
  • Applying procedures and guidelines in an environment that requires a high level of attention to detail
  • Providing client service via phone, e-mail, or in-person
Knowledge of:
  • Information and records management policies and procedures
  • Emerging technology or trends related to information management
Ability to:
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear, engaging presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Asset Qualification:
  • Successful completion of an acceptable Post-secondary education program (including certificate programs) related to information management, records, or library studies
  • Records Management experience in a government organization (Federal, Provincial/Territorial or Municipal)
  • Use of Sharepoint as a document/data management tool
  • Participation in a digital information or records transformation initiative
  • Experience applying metadata, records classifications or document management tags to information in electronic systems
  • Experience performing quality assurance on information assets
Operational Needs:
All CNSC staff are subject to the Mobility Directive.
