Job Description
We are a large, busy child care center seeking an enthusiastic, energetic individual who is reliable and communicates well with children, parents and colleagues. Strong interpersonal relations are a must; successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to effectively manage a busy classroom in all aspects, to the highest standards.Must possess an in-depth understanding of Ontario's Child Care and Early Years Act, Toronto Children's Services' Assessment for Quality Improvement, as well as Toronto Public Health routine care practices.Must possess:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- At least two years experience in a child care setting
- Standard CPR/First Aid level "C"
- New Police Check (with our organization name) required at candidate's expense
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and follow all up-to-date government and centre policies.Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON M1E5K2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Must be available consistently to rotate shifts anywhere between 7am-6pm, Monday through Friday.
- DCS / DEC (required)
- Fluent English (required)
- Registration with CECE (required)
- CPR Standard Level "C" (NOT child care certification) (required)
- Day Shift (required)
