Position Summary




Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Receptionist to support the Administration department.

Positions at this level obtain the information required in the admission of patients to the facility, complete admission documentation and perform related clerical duties. Perform a variety of clerical duties such as receiving visitors, telephone answering, and typing; and/or independently telephone medical test results. Receive, record and account for payments received in accordance with the policies and procedures of the facility.

Granisle is surrounded by pristine beauty unique to this part of Canada, the friendly village of Granisle was originally built on the shore of the beautiful Babine Lake to accommodate miners from the copper mine on Copper Island. Granisle has a population of 337 (2021) and is located to the north between Burns Lake and Houston. Granisle offers many services including a library, post office, medical centre, elementary school and an RCMP station.

Qualifications



Grade 12, plus one-year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
Computer literacy in Excel, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Microsoft Outlook.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.
