Pacific Fireplaces has been a trusted name in fireplaces and heat pumps in Greater Victoria for over 25 years. We're known for doing things properly--no shortcuts, no guesswork, and no gimmicks. We specialize in ductless heat pumps, as well as gas, wood, and electric fireplaces. Our team takes pride in being the company people call when they want things done safely, efficiently, and professionally.

We currently have one opening for the position of showroom receptionist/ sales assistant. This is a

full-time role

with some

seasonal considerations

--our busiest periods tend to be during the heating season (fall and winter).

About the Role



We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to grow their skills in a hands-on environment. This is a dual role that blends reception duties with in-house sales and admin support. You'll often be the first point of contact for our customers--whether by phone, email, or in person--and play a key role in guiding them toward the comfort solutions they need.

Duties for this role will include but are not limited to:



Greet clients in-person and over the phone with warmth and professionalism Respond to email and phone inquiries promptly; route calls and messages appropriately Assist customers on the showroom floor with product questions (training provided) Prepare quotes, input sales data, and follow up with leads Book service calls and manage scheduling logistics Support the sales and service teams with administrative tasks Keep the showroom clean, organized, and welcoming Continuous learning of hearth products and relevant product knowledge in order to assist clients Perform any other special duties as requested by manager

Requirements and Qualifications:



High school diploma Minimum 1 year of customer service and/or administrative experience Comfortable engaging with clients on a showroom sales floor (an asset) Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Basic math skills for invoicing and payment processing Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong written and verbal communication skills Friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks at once Fast learner with a proactive mindset Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team Desire to learn and grow within a supportive, long-established local business

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
