Perception Eyecare in Stoney Creek is hiring a part-time Receptionist / Optical Assistant to support our busy optometry clinic and eyewear boutique. We're looking for a friendly, reliable team member who can work 2-4 days per week, including Fridays and Saturdays. No optical experience required -- we provide full training.

No optical or medical experience needed -- we train you.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Optical Support

Help patients select eyeglass frames and lenses Assist with frame fittings and simple adjustments Take accurate eyewear measurements (training provided) Support patients during their visit and answer basic optical and eye health questions

Clinical Pre-Testing

Perform basic pre-testing before the optometrist exam (auto-refractor, retinal imaging, etc.) Maintain smooth patient flow

Reception & Administrative Tasks

Greet patients and check them in Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, manage bookings Handle patient inquiries, payments, and insurance information Keep the clinic clean, organized, and welcoming

Qualifications

Friendly, reliable, and professional Strong communication and customer service skills Able to multitask in a busy clinic environment Comfortable with computers and office software High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule Requirement:

We're looking for someone

available 2-4 days per week

Fridays + Saturdays are required

Clinic Hours

Mon:

11 am - 7 pm

Tue & Thu:

10 am - 7 pm

Wed & Fri:

9 am - 5 pm

Sat:

9 am - 2 pm
This is a part-time position with hours scheduled based on clinic needs.
