Job Description


We are seeking a full-time entry-level receptionist/legal assistant to join our notary public office in the Burnaby Metrotown area. Our office is easily accessible by car or public transit. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Experience working as a receptionist/legal assistant in a law office/notary office specializing in real estate transactions is an asset
  • Excellent English writing skills and ability to speak fluent English
  • Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and work under time-sensitive environments
  • Exceptional organization, communication and customer service skills
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Prepare correspondence and documents for real estate sale, purchase and mortgage transactions using conveyance software, myLTSA, Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Correspond with clients, notary/law offices, banks and other offices via email and phone to schedule appointments, follow-up on file matters and document requests
  • Performing general administrative responsibilities including banking errands, handling incoming and outgoing mail correspondence
  • Depending on experience and skills of candidate, may provide conveyancing training
