Clinical Support
team member to be the first friendly face our patients see. In this role, you'll welcome families, keep our clinic running smoothly, and support our optometrists and vision therapists in delivering life-changing care to children and young adults.
No prior vision therapy experience needed -- full training provided!

About the Role
We are looking for a
Clinical Support team member
to be the welcoming face of our clinic and the organizational backbone that keeps our days running smoothly. You'll greet patients, manage scheduling, process payments, prepare materials for therapy, and support our optometrists and vision therapists in delivering life-changing care.
This is
not
a sales role -- it's a patient-centered support role where warmth, organization, and attention to detail are key.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Experience
: Greet families warmly, create a calm environment, and guide them through their appointments.
Scheduling & Communication
: Manage appointment bookings, rescheduling, and confirmations through our Jane software. Proactively update families if schedules change.
Clinic Operations
: Prepare files, forms, and equipment for each patient; maintain cleanliness and organization in all spaces.
Administrative Tasks
: Process payments, check voicemails/texts/emails, handle faxes and mail, and update patient files accurately.
Clinical Support
: Assist with pre-testing, Syntonics preparation, and VIP assessments (training provided).
Team Collaboration
: Communicate updates in Microsoft Teams channels to ensure smooth handoffs between shifts.
Special Events
: Help with Theme Weeks and other clinic engagement activities.
What We're Looking For
Warm, professional, and confident communication skills with children and adults.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a busy clinic environment.
Comfortable learning clinic software and following detailed processes.
Reliable, proactive, and resourceful when challenges arise.
Thrives in a collaborative, supportive team culture.
Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, or administrative roles is an asset, but we will train the right person.
Requirements
High school diploma (post-secondary education in health, education, or administration is an asset).
Proficient in computer systems (Microsoft Office, experience with Jane or other EMR is an asset).
Must be available to work some evenings
Able to work on-site in Guelph, ON.
