Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team in a medical office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth administrative processes. This role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients while supporting the overall efficiency of the office.

Duties



Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing information about services and directing them appropriately. Manage phone systems, answering calls promptly and professionally while addressing inquiries or directing calls to the appropriate staff member. Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the medical team. Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with attention to detail, ensuring data is up-to-date and compliant with regulations. Assist with billing and insurance verification processes, including understanding medical terminology related to medical procedures. Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies inventory. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations within a medical office.

Skills



Proficiency in phone systems and front desk operations in a medical setting. Familiarity with QHR/Accuro software or similar medical practice management systems is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to medicine is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated in completing tasks independently.
