Job description
Receptionist role with administrative duties such as ordering supplies, receiving clients and courier deliveries, checking mail, sorting mail, maintaining client lists, sending bulk emails and newsletters and assisting with various administrative projects from team members. The ability to multi-task is crucial. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. Knowledge of client management systems would be beneficial.
Candidates must have an excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written and understand the importance of a good first impression. This person must be willing and able to work well with others. The ability to communicate in French would be an asset but is not a requirement for this position.
Many of our clients are elderly and we expect our Receptionist to be polite, kind, courteous and patient. We expect our Receptionist to offer our clients coffee, tea and water. We want to work with someone who will uphold the value that we place on treating our clients and fellow team members with respect and a willingness to be helpful. The candidate must be reliable, eager to work and open to learning new skills. The candidate must be able and willing to maintain the cleanliness of the reception area (this includes sweeping and vacuuming to ensure the area is clean - especially in the winter months).
