Under the supervision of the Manager, Finance & Administration, the Receptionist answers all incoming telephone calls, greets visitors and clients, directing them to the appropriate person. The Receptionist promotes a positive image of the organization in all interactions with clients and the general public. He/She coordinates appointment bookings and provides administrative support to other managers and staff.

What You Will Do

:

Receive and direct queries from residents, clients and the public and direct them to the appropriate person or place. Receive and direct phone calls Order office and nursing supplies as needed Post memos/posters in other departments as required Take down outdated posters/memos/signs as appropriate Make boardroom bookings Provide general administrative assistance as required Book foot care appointments Phone clients prior to their appointment reminding them of their appointment Prepare foot care bags for RPNs prior to the clinic Maintain client files Assist managers with preparing Word/Excel documents as needed Photocopier - maintain paper levels, change toner cartridges, call for service as needed Keep main office and work area tidy Functions and reports in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and Caref*or policies and procedures
Reports the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which he/she is aware and which may endanger him/herself or another worker Reports any violations of the Health and Safety Act or the regulations, or the existence of any hazard Ensures all workplace incidents are reported in a timely manner in accordance with legislation, and Caref*or policies and procedures for workplace injuries and incidents
Other duties/tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications:



High school diploma or acceptable combination of education and experience Receptionist or administrative experience an asset
