We're looking for a
friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Receptionist
to be the face of our salon. As the first point of contact for clients, you'll play an essential role in creating a professional, positive, and seamless experience from start to finish.
Position Overview
The Receptionist is responsible for managing client interactions, scheduling appointments, handling payments, and supporting the overall operations of the salon. This role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills, as well as a strong ability to stay calm and professional in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience
Greet all clients warmly and ensure they feel welcomed and valued.
Answer phone calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally.
Schedule and confirm appointments accurately using the salon's booking system.
Provide information on services, stylists, and pricing.
Manage client check-in/check-out and handle payments.
Maintain a clean, inviting reception area at all times.
Team Support
Communicate client arrivals and updates to stylists and technicians.
Assist in coordinating daily schedules and ensuring smooth salon flow.
Support marketing and promotions (e.g., product displays, social media updates, event coordination).
Track and order retail or salon supplies when needed.
Administration
Process transactions, manage cash drawer, and balance daily sales.
Maintain accurate client records and appointment history.
Follow salon policies and procedures for bookings, cancellations, and no-shows.
Assist management with reports or administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a salon, spa, or customer service role preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills -- in person, on the phone, and digitally.
Professional, polished appearance and demeanor.
Proficiency with booking or POS systems (experience with Phorest is an asset).
Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities.
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions
