LRDL Engineering is an Edmonton-based, prime engineering consulting firm recognized for our industrial innovation, primarily, but not exclusively for the railway industry. Your role as the Administrative Assistant is to provide support to engineers, tradespeople and office staff by ensuring proper record keeping, accounting practices and office procedures are followed. Reporting to the HR/Finance Manager, you are expected to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate has extremely high attention to detail, can work quickly and efficiently, is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and can adapt to a dynamic environment. Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include:

  • Accurately inputting and coding bills, credit card receipts and expenditures, and other accounts payable related duties
  • Accurately receiving payments, making bank deposits, and other accounts receivable duties
  • Ensuring office phone calls and mail/shipments are directed to the appropriate parties
  • Supporting engineers with paperwork, including expense reports, receipt processing, etc.
  • Ordering and organizing office and project materials and supplies
  • Assisting the HR/Finance Manager with business and office activities as required
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements: Knowledge and skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks is required
  • Previous administrative experience is required
  • Previous experience in accounts payables and receivables is an asset
