Job dutie

s: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children

Qualification

ECE Diploma with working experience in a child care setting Working childcare experience at least 2 years (an asset) Police Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening no more than 6 months old Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification Up to Date Immunizations

Summary

Reporting to the Lead Educator, you will utilize your core skills in early childhood education, communication, and teaching to create engaging lesson plans and activities. Your premium skills in bilingual education and special education will enhance learning experiences for diverse learners. Additionally, your relevant skills in time management, leadership, and organizational abilities will ensure a well-structured classroom. With First Aid and CPR certifications, you will prioritize the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
