Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RECE to join the team at Bayview Gardens Child Care in support position. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess excellent communication skills, and be capable of creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. This role involves working closely with children of various ages, including those with special needs, and requires strong organizational and leadership abilities to manage daily activities effectively.

Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor children during play, learning activities, and mealtime to ensure safety and engagement Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Assist children with daily routines such as dressing, toileting, and hygiene practices Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to provide updates on progress and needs Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as needed Document observations of children's development and behavior for reporting purposes Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and classroom management strategies

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings Knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom management techniques Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is preferred Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members Organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Ability to operate basic computer applications for documentation and communication purposes Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of daily tasks Leadership qualities to guide children positively and foster a nurturing environment Relevant certifications in childcare or early childhood education are a plus

Pay: $24.86-$24.90 per hour
