We are currently looking for a qualified program staff for our Beamsville Plaza Childcare Center.

We are a nonprofit charitable organization providing safe, affordable childcare in our community for over 30 years. Our program provides care for children ages 6 weeks to five years old.

Preference is given to candidates with Early Childhood Education diploma and registered with the College of ECE's, however this is not a requirement. Unqualified applicants are encouraged to apply and given career support, financial and free on-going training support and sponsored apprenticeships are available to the successful candidates, looking to advance their professional development or begin a career in Childcare. .

The childcare center staff are responsible for the over all care and day-to-day operation of the daycare center. They must provide warm caring child guidance that is consistent with the philosophy of the childcare center. Our RECE's and assistant staff are also responsible for program planning, working effectively with colleagues, daily housekeeping tasks, working with families and children, connecting with the community, mentoring students and various administrative responsibilities.

In addition to maintaining a healthy, safe, welcoming, comfortable and fun environment for children. Program staff will actively be involved in providing creative play, heathy nutritious snacks and self-directed individual child development.

Must have current Vulnerable Sector Screening and up to date Standard first Aid/CPR and immunization.

Experience in care giving and supervising Infant, toddlers to Preschool age children is an asset.

Working knowledge of the current Employment Standards Act, CCEYA, Public Health regulations regarding Child Care Centres. Computer skills an asset.

Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills, ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with children, parents and staff. Excellent people skills and a friendly, responsible, service-oriented attitude are required.
