Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our program, focusing on providing quality education and care for children, including those with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a passion for nurturing young minds while assisting in the supervision of staff and program activities.

Responsibilities

Assist the Supervisor in managing classroom activities and ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment for all children. Educate and support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, fostering their development through tailored activities. Collaborate with caregivers and parents to communicate children's progress and address any concerns effectively. Help train and mentor new staff members in caregiving techniques and classroom management strategies. Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents that occur during program hours. Participate in planning educational programs that meet the developmental needs of children. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and organizational policies within the classroom setting.

Experience

Previous experience in early childhood education or a related field is mandatory Familiarity with working with children who have disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong caregiving skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and effective communication with both children and adults. Experience in classroom management techniques to create an organized and productive learning environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when necessary.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
