Job Description

Position Summary

This role involves the handling, cutting, bending, and processing of rebar products, along with general service duties to support customer orders and operational efficiency. The individual must have experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.

Duties & Responsibilities

Rebar Processing

Operate equipment for cutting, bending, & shaping rebar according to job specifications. Utilize measuring instruments and tools to ensure proper alignment and dimensions Read and interpret bar lists, tags, and work orders. Tag, bundle, and prepare finished rebar for shipping or storage.

Material Handling & Service Centre Duties

Load and unload materials using cranes, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment. Assist with receiving, organizing, and staging raw materials. Package and label finished products for delivery. Maintain accurate production and inventory records. Lift, slide, carry and lower items that weigh up to 50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs

Quality & Safety

Inspect materials and finished products for defects or compliance issues. Maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Follow all safety policies and wear appropriate PPE. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards Adhere to the requirements of Ferrell's Health & Safety Policy and the Occupational Health & Safety Act

Customer & Team Interaction

Work closely with supervisor, and shipping staff to meet production schedules. Assist with customer pick-ups or service requests as required. Provide general support to other shop functions as assigned and directed. Interact respectfully, build relationships, and demonstrate a high level of cooperation. Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch and company success
